  • I am very proud to be a member of the Scranton Diocese. Our Bishop has a heart for the people's needs. It's heartwarming to see the love that is shared in our parishes and throughout the world. With love and compassion we together can make the world a happier place for all. God bless our Bishop, Priests and all the religious and lay people who strive for excellence. ♡

We need to see our bishops go out to the poor and be a visible sign of the Gospels. They need to be a sign and symbol of this Evangelization deeply rooted in the Gospels. We need to see bishops walk with the poor, the homeless, the immigrants, the farmworkers, those imprisoned, the elderly and shut ins. Pope Francis a perfect example for our bishops as to how to relate to the poor in our midst. Be a one with them is the answer. Vatican Radio today reports that the pope appointed 19 new cardinals and he appointed alot of cardinals from very dirt poor Dioceses. That is sending a clear message to every single American bishop in the USA to identify with God's little ones. I don't ever want to see pictures in any Diocesan paper of a bishop hanging out in a rich suburban parishes and then never traveling to the Diocesan soup kitchen or homeless shelter to visit the homeless and destitute.
